Modulated Media was set up by former BBC journalists to find new markets for stimulating ideas and podcasts. We are passionate about bringing new ideas to people in a thoughtful way and putting beautiful sounds straight in your ears.

 

Alastair Elphick

After 25 years of editing award-winning BBC radio programmes and managing teams of journalists around the world, Alastair now is bringing his news and audio expertise to his love of design, culture and travel to create high quality podcasts exploring how we can best live.

He was the editor of the BBC World Service’s popular morning news radio show The World Today reporting on global issues and hearing voices from around the world. He managed a team of international journalists and BBC correspondents. He has won acclaim for his radio work including Sony Awards (Gold), as well as awards for innovative ideas, including the Best in News Shorty Award for #Tiananmen89.

Nastaran Tavakoli-Far

Nastaran is a reporter and presenter and is passionate about people’s behaviour in the modern world and the intersection of economics, social issues and psychology. Her reporting has included The Untold Story of Concorde (Teamisty)and The Orgasm Cult (BBC Radio 4 investigation). She created and hosted the popular indie podcast The Gender Knot, and built a community and movement around the show.

Her work has won praise from Time Magazine, the Financial Times, The Guardian and NBC’s Access Hollywood.
